The Oxford College women’s soccer team has kicked off their 2017 season and they are looking to lead from their core as they return four sophomores who all played midfield or defensive positions last season.
Of the returning sophomores, some saw significant playing time last season such as Carson Fleming. Fleming started 14 games for the Eagles last season in which she recorded five goals and six assists on the season.
This will be Coach Tinna Gallagher’s second season with Oxford College and she is excited for their season to kickoff. After posting a solid 7-7 record last season, Coach Gallagher brings strong experience into this season.
The Eagles host Gordon State College on Bivings Field tonight at 7:00 pm for their first home match of the season. Be sure to come out and support your Women’s Soccer team!
