As they close out their regular season and begin preparations for the regional tournament, the Oxford College women's soccer team has been awarded a national ranking heading toward the postseason. The team is now ranked 13th in the nation as they continue their strong performance on the field.
Coach Tinna Gallagher had this to say about the ranking, "I am just very excited that the ladies are getting recognized for all the great work they have done so far this season. We have been winning against really good DI teams, in games where we are the underdogs, and getting great results against quality teams. We have the region tournament next week, so we are getting ready for it. The girls know what is at stake. It's all or nothing at the tournament, so we want to make sure we do everything right in preparation. Receiving votes for the National Ranking will give us boost and confidence going into the tournament."
Oxford College is ecstatic about this news and wish the best to the women's soccer team as they move toward the regional tournament. Go Eagles!
