Men's Basketball Open Season Strong

The men's basketball team started their season strong against Georgia Highlands Diamonds with a 99-82 victory. After a solid start to the first half, Georgia Highlands Diamonds caught fire from the field and made a push to take the lead before halftime 47-45. The Eagles regrouped and started the second half well with eight defensive stops in a row to make an important run and hold the Diamonds squad to just 35 points the second half. Sophomore Sean Wickham led the charge with a few highlight dunks and a final statline of 21 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman Eric Lee added another 20 points and sophomore Seb Mosso contributed 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Also included in the stat lines were sophomore Kyle Brown with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists.

The Eagles travel to North Carolina this weekend to compete against strong competition in Central Carolina Community College and Sandhills Community College. This balanced squad showed great potential in their opener and hopes to continue their strong showing as they head north. Go Eagles!
