Oxford Men’s Basketball Defeats Florida College Developmental Team 77 to 69

The Oxford College men's basketball team won the first of their two game road trip to Clearwater Beach, Florida with a 77 to 69 victory over the Florida College Developmental Team.

The Eagles had multiple players score in double figures, led by Seb Mosso who had a monster game with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Robbie Wainio poured in 17 points, along with 7 rebounds, Ryan Kwong hit 4 of 8 three point shots for 14 points and Zane Patel scored 10 points.

This was the first game for the Eagles in over a month as the Eagles worked to get back into a rhythm and trailed 32 to 31 at halftime.

The Eagles were very productive as a unit in the 2nd half, shooting 52.6% from the field and started to pull away from Florida College.  Oxford's largest lead was 60 to 47 with 10 minutes to go.

The Eagles held Florida College to 38.2% shooting for the game as the Eagle shot  46.5% of the game.

"Very proud of how hard we played as a unit, it has been over a month since we last played but we came out and did what we needed to do to get a victory,"  commented head Coach Roderick Stubbs.

 Oxford next plays Friday, Jan. 12 versus Pasco Hernando State College  in the 2nd game of their back to back Florida trip.

Game time is set for 7:00pm.
