The Oxford College men's basketball team traveled to Southern Pines, North Carolina over the weekend and fall short to Central Carolina Technical College 84 to 78.
The Eagles will see action again tomorrow versus the ninth ranked team in the nation Sandhills Community College.
Oxford got off to a very slow start and trailed by a score of 41 to 29 at halftime. The Eagles made a valiant comeback and made a game of the contest but fell short in the end.
Oxford had 5 players in double figures with Sean Wickham(double-double, 16 points and 11 rebounds) leading the way. Eric Lee poured in 15 points while Seb Mosso produced 12 points and 11 rebounds. Robert Wainio scored 11 points and Ryan Kwong finished with 10 points.
