Shorthanded Eagles Succumbs to Stormy Petrals

On a night when Oxford had to contend with illness, injury, and being short handed, they couldn't overcome a determined Oglethorpe squad who placed four players in the double figure scoring column. Competing with only eight players able to make the short trip to Atlanta, it was evidently too much for the Eagles.

Led by Sophomore's Robbie Wainio's 17 points and supported by Daniel Liu's 14 points and 8 rebounds along with Freshman Eric Lee's 12 points, the Eagles fought hard but a 29% field goal percentage sealed their night. The 74-58 loss had some good moments and the efforts from the 8 players able to compete were spirited. Moving forward. several players got some good experience and as Coach Stubbs indicated, "we will be the better for this down the road".

The Oxford Men's Basketball Team will be on Wintere Break until the players return to campus on January 3rd.
