The Oxford College men's basketball team faltered in a low scoring affair versus GCAA conference rival Southern Crescent Technical College 53 to 42.
The Eagles shot a season low 19.6 percent from the field as they were ice cold the entire game against the Tigers. Southern Crescent shot a lowly 36.8 percent but it was enough to hold off Oxford.
Oxford made 5 field goals in the first half and trailed 22 to 16 at halftime. The second half was another defensive battle but Oxford was never able to get closer than 6 points in the 2nd half.
Ryan Kwong led the way for the Eagles with 14 points and 2 steals.
The Eagles travel to Athens, TN on Saturday, February 3rd to play Tennessee Wesleyan Reserve Squad. Tipoff is set for 4:00pm.
