Oxford Wins 2nd in a Row Against Georgia Gwinnett

HIGHLIGHTS

Oxford, GA – Freshman JJ Halaby scored a career-high 39 points to lead the Emory Oxford Men's Basketball team to a 93-85 win over Georgia Gwinnett College. With this win, the Eagles improve to 7-2 for the season.

The Eagles had 4 players in double figures and Halaby's 39 points ties for the school's 2nd-highest single game scoring mark. Halaby also went 17 of 20 from the free-throw line. Sophomore Ryan Kwong scored 17 points while making 3 three-pointers. Fellow sophomore Eric Lee had 16 points and freshman Jermon Clark had 12 points to round up the night for the Eagles.

"This may yet be the best we have played this season," said Roderick Stubbs, Head Coach. "Our guys were ready to play from the beginning and Georgia Gwinnett hit a good amount of shots that kept them in it, but our guys kept battling."

The Eagles will return to action after Thanksgiving Break on Tuesday, November 27th against Brewton Parker College Reserve Squad. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
