Three Eagles Make All-Conference Team -- Halaby Named Player of The Year

All-Conference Selections

Three players from the Emory Oxford men's basketball team was selected to the All-GCAA Conference Team. The picks were made by the conference coaches.

Freshman JJ Halaby was named GCAA Player of the Year after averaging 29.7 points, 8.0 assists, and 6.7 rebounds per game in conference play. For the season, he averaged 25.9 ppg, 5.3 apg, and 5.4 rpg. Halaby is the first Emory Oxford player to win this award since Zach Breathwaite, who won the award back in 2017. Before winning this award, Halaby was selected GCAA Player of the Month for November, December, and January. 

Halaby and sophomore captains Ryan Kwong and Zane Patel were all selected to first team honors. Kwong averaged 18.3 ppg for the season, while shooting nearly 46% from behind the arc. Patel averaged a double-double throughout the season with 12.9 ppg and 10.0 rpg.
