New Port Richey, FL - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team was defeated by the Bobcats of Pasco-Hernando State College 85-74. The Eagles drop to 6-8 for the season while the Bobcats improve to 3-10.
The Eagles had two players in double figures with freshman Shane McCravy scoring 31 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. This is his 6th double-double of the season. Sophomore Aaron Gerber was the only other double figure scorer with 11 points.
The Eagles stuggled to take care of the basketball turning it over 23 times times which led to 26 points for the Bobcats. The Bobcats held a 35-8 advantage on points in transition while shooting 43% from the field.
"We did not play our best today but our guys kept fighting and that was all we asked from them coming out off the half," stated Roderick Stubbs, Head Coach.
The Eagles will complete their 2-game road trip on Saturday (Jan. 11) against Florida College Developmental Team. Tipoff is set for 6:00PM.
