Men's Golf Competes in First Event of The Season

Milledgeville, GA - The Emory Oxford men's golf team teed off their fall season at the Bulldog Classic hosted by Georgia Military College. The Eagles were led by returning All-American Nick Paschetto who carded a 77 on the first day of competition and finished with a two-day total of 157. Sophomore JC Smith showed consistency with a two-day total of 177. First-year Andrew Florence shaved 11 strokes off his first day score to post an 83 on the second day of competition. Sophomore Stewart Zelnick was the fourth scorer both days for the Eagles. 

"For the first tournament of the year there are a lot of positives that we can take away as we move forward during the year," stated Head Coach McNamara. "Our goal is to learn from each tournament round and make the adjustments during practices to make the improvements we are looking for."

The Eagles will return to action in the Chick-Fil-A Collegiate Invitational from October 20th - October 22nd. The event will be held at Stonebridge Golf Course.
