Emory-Oxford Victorious in Overtime Thriller

Oxford raced toward a two goal lead early in this thrilling encounter as sophomores Victor Owiredu and Chris Schwaiger were able to reach the back of the net.

GMC JV roared back in the second half and were able to tie the game at 2-2 before Eagles sophomore Jonathan Steele raced clear to put Oxford back in front with what many thought would be the game winning goal. GMC responded well and managed to level the score with the last kick in regulation. With the first attack of overtime, Oxford's Oliver Xu burst into the GMC box only to be upended for a penalty kick, which was coolly dispatched for the win by the Eagle's top scorer Chris Schwaiger.

Next up for the Eagles are back-to-back away games, with one in North Carolina at Johnson and Wales followed by a trip to USC Lancaster in South Carolina.
