Strong Start for Eagles Against GMC

Oxford came out guns blazing in an attempt to break their streak of three straight defeats. The Eagles controlled possession and had GMC on their heels for long periods of the first half. Chris Schwaiger, with an assist by freshman Chike Onyia, put the Eagles ahead to go in the break with their first lead of the season.

A powerful rally from GMC in the second half saw them score four unanswered goals. Chris Schwaiger netted his, and Emory-Oxford's, second goal of the game from the penalty spot in the last minutes of the contest.

Next up for the Eagles is the visit of the Fire Ants of USC Sumter.
