Men's Soccer Defeats All in FC 4-1

Oxford, GA - The Emory Oxford men's soccer team played All in FC on Thursday night and came out with a 4-1 victory. The Eagles improve to 9-2-1 for the season. Sophomore Brandon Simon lead the Eagles with two goals, both coming in the first half.

In the 4th minute, Simon recieved a pass from classmate Chandler Cagle who netted his fourth goal of the season. This was Cagle's third assist of the season. Later in the first half, Simon netted his fifth goal of the season, second of the match. Freshman Ryan Rohling was recorded the assist. The Eagles went into halftime with a 2-0 lead. 

Much of the second half was action less, but All in FC finally scored a goal in the 71st minute to cut the lead to 2-1. However, the Eagles were able to score two unanswered goals in the final 13th minutes of regulation. Freshman Jason Im broke free in the 77th minute and netted his seventh goal of the year. Eleven minutes later, freshman Parker Morford found classmate Yongchen Qian who scored his first goal as an Eagle. 

"Our team played terrific today and are looking good as we head into the District Playoffs next weekend," commented Head Coach Moss-Brown.

The Eagles will have one more tune-up game Saturday (Oct. 26th) against Athens United Soccer Club. Game will start at 3:00PM.
