The Oxford Emory men's tennis team finally opened their season after several cancelations due to the weather with a 5 to 4 victory over Meridian Community College.
The Eagles had been working hard to get ready for the season and looked forward to competing versus NJCAA Division I opponent Meridan.
"We are glad to finally be playing someone else other than ourselves," commented head coach Pernilla Hardin. "The weather is great and we look forward to finally playing some matches."
Oxford returns to action on Saturday (March. 3) when it hosts NJCAA powerhouse ABAC and Harford CC.
