Oxford Men's Tennis Upends Harford CC

The Oxford/Emory men's tennis team closed out the weekend over the Harford CC Owls by a score of 6 to 3.  This was a rematch from earlier in the season, were the Eagles came up short losing 5 to 4.

The men got off to a strong start by winning number 1 doubles (Tate Coston and Guillermo Cabral) and number 2 doubles (Julian McCarthy and Gordon Hua).

With only three matches needed to clinch the match, Henry Hua got the team off to a strong start at number 5 singles with a 8-3 victory. Andrew Sun followed suit and went on to win a tough battle at line four singles winning 8-6.

Guillermo Cabral clinched the victory for the Eagles with an 8-4 victory at line one singles.

Coach Hardin said, "All the players were very self disciplined despite the pressure of their matches."

The Eagles have one more regular season match versus NJCAA Division I powerhouse ABAC on Saturday, April 21, 2018. The Eagles will then prepare for final exams and get ready for NJCAA Championships.
