Oxford, GA - In a matchup against NJCAA Division I foe Motlow State Community College, the Emory Oxford women's soccer team lost a hard-fought match 1-0. The Eagles drop to 1-1 for the season while the Bucks improve to 4-0.
The lone goal for the game came from Motlow's Ayline Mateos who scored in the 62nd minute.
Despite outshooting the Bucks 8-4, the Eagles had difficulty finding the back of the net.
"We gave our best efforts, but our girls just came up a little short today," state Interim Head Coach Harry Kustick.
The Eagles will return to action on September 5th (Thurs.) to face Spartanburg Methodist. Action begins at 6:00PM.
