Oxford Women’s Tennis overpowered against Piedmont College

Your Oxford Women's Tennis Team lost to the Lions of Piedmont College 2-7.

Freshman Victoria Jones improves her singles record to 4-0 winning her match in straight sets with a 6-1, 6-3 victory. Jones, alongside with fellow freshman Cody Lu posted an 8-3 victory in their doubles match.

"We lost to a stronger opponent," Head Coach Pernilla Hardin said. "I am extremely proud with the effort that our girls played with as they fought to the end."

The Eagles have played against very tough competition this year and are still in search of their first win of the season and they will have an opportunity on Saturday, September 22nd. They will be facing Spartanburg Methodist and play will begin at 1 pm.
