Albany, GA - The Emory Oxford men's and women's cross country team competed in their second event of the season, the Willie Laster Invitational. The had men's 8k race had a total of 82 runners while the women's 5k race had 54 runners.
The women's team finished in third place with sophomore Katie Dorton (20:14) and freshman Grace Johnson (20:20) finishing 1st and 2nd. Freshman Sophia Tufariello (23:54) finished in the top 20.
On the men's side, the top finisher for the Eagles was freshman Neel Tummala (32:57) who placed in the top 25.
The Eagles will return to action on Saturday (Oct. 5) in the 14th Annual Foothills Invitational. Races are set to begin at 8:00AM.
