Westfield, MA – The Emory Oxford cross-country teams finished their season in the NJCAA Division III National Championship this Saturday held in Massachusetts.

Sophomore Katie Dorton finished in second place for the women as she ran a 19:02, which set the school record for a 5k race. Freshman Grace Johnson ran the race in 19:38 as she finished in third place. Johnson's time set the freshman record in program history.

On the men's side freshmen Neel Tummala and Nathaniel Lechtzin competed for the Eagles.

"It has been an up-and-down year for us as a group, but to have two runners place in the top 3 is great for us," commented Head Coach, Ella O'Kelley. "Katie has been great for all year and to set the school record is a great end to her career here at Oxford. Grace has also been really good for us and she will be even better next year."
