Men's Soccer Stay Undefeated; Blanks USC Union 3-0

Jonesville, SC - The Emory Oxford men's soccer team stay undefeated in a victory over the Bantams of USC Union. The Eagles won 3-0 and improve to 7-0-1. 

The first goal of the game was an own goal by the Bantams that came in the 5th minute. The Eagles kept attacking but were unable to find the back of the net. The score was 1-0 going into halftime. 

In the second half, Oxford continued on the offensive and was able to get a goal in the 53rd minute when freshman Cameron Barrett found fellow freshman Ryan Rohling for his fourth goal of the season. Later in the half, sophomore Eduardo Barquet broke free from the defense and netted his eight goal of the season. 

The Eagles outshot the Bantam 37-5 and had the advantage in corner kicks with 15-1. Sophomore goalie Zack Tuke came up with 3 saves for the Eagle's fourth clean sheet of the season.

"Our boys were terrific today," commented Head Coach Moss-Brown. "They continued to attack and put pressure on the other team and was able to come out with this win."

The Eagles will continue their road trip as they play USC Sumter tomorrow (October 6th). Kickoff is set for 1:00PM.
