The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized Allison Park of the women's tennis team as the January Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the CHL's motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.
Park is from Seoul, Korea and is currently pursuing a major in Nursing. She is a two-year member of the women’s tennis team that won the 2019 NJCAA National Championship. Park competed in second singles and doubles. She is also an NJCAA All-American in both positions.
In the classroom, Park is an excellent student. She was named an NJCAA Academic All American and an ITA Scholar-Athlete. She was an important part of the team earning the ITA All-Academic Team.
On top of tennis and school, Park is quite involved in the community. She is a Learning to Lead facilitator where she helps students build leadership skills through a seminar. She is a Student Ambassador for the Student Ambassador Association. She is Co-President of the Journey Christian Fellowship. She is a Volunteer Coordinator & GBM Coordinator for Camp Kesem and a member of the Asian Fusion Dance Team. Park also volunteers at Piedmont Newton Hospital on the medical-surgical floor and at Mainstay Academy as a secondary school aide.
