Angela Li named CHL Student-Athlete of the Month for November 2023

The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized sophomore Angela Li of the women's soccer team as the November Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the CHL's motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Li, who is from Saratoga, California and plays forward. Academically, Li has been a Dean’s List Scholar every semester she has attended Oxford, is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society, and is an Oxford Research Scholar. In addition, she was the recipient of the Bivings Scholarship Award and the Cline Family Fellowship.

Li plans on majoring in neuroscience and behavioral biology.

Outside of the classroom, Li keeps busy not only as a member of the soccer team, but as a member of several different clubs. She is the president of the Oxford Cancer Foundation and International Student Association, along with being the vice president of the Anime Club. Her other involvements in Oxford include being a member of the Allen Memorial United Methodist Church choir, being an Oxford service leader, and being a member of Volunteer Oxford. Li was also a Grady Memorial Hospital Trauma Project intern and is EMT certified. 

To add to her already packed schedule, Li charters a chapter of Lions Club International, which is a volunteering organization with many youth and adult branches and districts all over the world. Her chapter volunteered at animal foster farms and collected and fixed hundreds of Chromebooks that were donated to low-income school districts over the summer.
