Grace Johnson CHL Student-Athlete of the Month for November 2020

The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized Grace Johnson of the women’s cross-country team as the November Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the CHL's motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Johnson is from Greenville, SC and is currently pursuing a double major in Human Health and Spanish. She is a two-year member of the women’s cross-country and in her first year with the program, she finished second at Regionals and third at NJCAA Nationals. These finishes helped her earn All-Region and All-American Honors. Her 19:38 time at Nationals set the freshman record in program history.

Johnson excels in the classroom as well. She is a Woodruff Scholar and was named to the NJCAA Academic All-American First Team, awarded to a student-athlete who earned a perfect GPA.

Outside of cross-country and academics, Johnson is involved in the community. She is a Sophomore Leader for the Healthy Eagles, where she helps promote health and wellness on campus. She is a tutor for the Spanish Department and is also the first Vice-President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board.

We are proud to recognize the November Student-Athlete of the Month, Grace Johnson.

Educate the Mind, Exercise the Body.
