Lara Crosby CHL Student-Athlete of the Month for November 2021

The Center for Healthful Living (C.H.L.) has recognized Lara Crosby of the women's tennis team as the November Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the C.H.L.'s motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Crosby is from Charlotte, NC and is pursuing a degree in Biology. She is a two-year member of the women's tennis team and was named co-captain this year. Competing in third singles at the National Tournament, Crosby made it to the championship game and defeated Illinois Valley's Olivia Woods 6-1, 6-0 to help the Eagles win their six-consecutive national title. She was also a runner-up in second doubles with fellow sophomore Joanna Wu. Crosby was named a First-Team Singles All-American and Second-Team Doubles All-American.

Outside of tennis and the classroom, Crosby is involved in the Emory Oxford Community. She is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board, which promotes a positive student-athlete experience and creates an outlet for student-athletes to express their concerns and issues with the coaches and administrators. She is also the Treasurer for the Oxford Neuroscience Association.

We are proud to recognize the November Student-Athlete of the Month, Lara Crosby.

Educate the Mind, Exercise the Body.
