Ryan Huang named CHL Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2024

The Center for Healthful Living (CHL) has recognized sophomore Ryan Huang of the men’s golf team as the April Student-Athlete of the Month. This award recognizes a student athlete's commitment to the CHL's motto: Educate the Mind and Exercise the Body.

Huang, originally from Shanghai, China, is a two-year member of the men’s golf team. During his time on the golf team, Huang has had several top 30 finishes at invitationals, including a fourth place at the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association championship last season. This year, Huang shot his lowest two-day score in his collegiate career at the Pfeiffer University Falcon Shootout and will head to nationals for the first time.

Outside of golf, Huang is the vice president of the Oxford Chinese Student Organization. Back in California, where he attended high school, Huang tutored students, worked at a golf course and was president of his school’s psychology club.

Academically, Huang has been a dean’s list scholar every semester he has attended Oxford. Additionally, he won the Dean’s Award at the annual athletics award ceremony. The award is given to a person who best exemplifies the ideals of a student-athlete through their outstanding academic success.

We proudly recognize the April Student-Athlete of the Month, Ryan Huang.
