Cross Country Represents Oxford at UNG

The men's and women's cross country teams competed at The University of North Georgia today. There were 17 schools on the women side (Agnes Scott, Albany State, Brenau, Clark Atlanta, Dalton State, Emory, Lander, Life, Middle Georgia State, North Georgia, Oxford Emory, Point, SCAD Atlanta, SCAD Savannah, Shorter, Wesleyan (Ga.), West Georgia) and 10 schools on the men's side (Albany State, Clark Atlanta, Emory, Oxford Emory, Point, SCAD Atlanta, SCAD Savannah, Shorter, Talladega, West Georgia)

On the women's side, Emily Rexer was 41 seconds away from hitting our national provisional time, with Meredith Johnson and Michelle Ly pulling closely behind running just over a minute from the qualifying time. The women placed 9th overall.

On the men's side, Justin Burton and Thitikorn Ngampakdeepa were the first two men to hit the national provisional qualifying time. Their fellow teammates Alden Aspiras and Jerry Yue are not too far behind with a just under a minute from the mark. The men placed 6th overall.

"We are on pace with our plan for the season.This was our second meet and we are running through heavy legs because of where we are at in our training. However, we are keeping our eyes on the prize and look forward to dropping our times week after week." - Coach Ella O'Kelley
