Cueva promoted to Assistant Director of Recreation

The Emory Oxford College Center for Healthful Living Director/Co-Interim Dean of Campus Life) Amanda Yu-Nguyen announced that former Eagle Jose Cueva (16Ox 18C) has been promoted to the Assistant Director of Recreation.

Jose will be responsible for overseeing the recreation team, which includes intramurals, club sports, group fitness, aquatics, and larger-scale campus events. His previous role was as the Sports Information -Events and Marketing Coordinator.

"Jose has consistently demonstrated his dedication and passion for our campus community. His former duties along with his background as a former student and basketball team member have prepared him exceptionally well to lead and support our diverse range of recreational activities," commented Amanda Yu-Nguyen.

Cueva, who is from Jacksonville Beach, FL, competed for the Eagles from 2014-2016. His team won 35 games during those two years and captured the program's first Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Conference Tournament Title in 2016. Cueva was named an NJCAA All-Region performer during his sophomore year. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Human Health at Emory and his Master's in Sport Administration from Georgia State.
