Men's Basketball Season Preview

The Emory/Oxford Men's Basketball team is geared up to start the 2018-2019 campaign. 

Oxford head coach Roderick Stubbs enters his 14th season at the helm of the Eagle's program with 5 returning veterans from last year's squad. 

Oxford's sophomore captains Ryan Kwong and Zane Patel are primed and ready to lead the Eagles this season. 

Ryan Kwong started in 24 games last season and averaged 12.2 points per-game. He shot an amazing 42.6 percent from the three point line making 71 out of 168 three point attempts.  Zane Patel started in 11 games last season and averaged 5.7 points per contest.  Sophomore Eric Lee is also expected to be a solid contributor as he averaged 8.4 points per contest last season. Mekhi George will be a solid addition in the back court. Mekhi is the prototypical point guard with excellent court vision and sound defender. Tristan Carver, a sophomore post player from Chandler, AZ and Jake McGrath, III, a sophomore wing, from Philadelphia, PA round out the returning players. 

Oxford has several newcomers that will be called into action. JJ Halaby, a freshman guard from Baltimore, MD. Jermon Clark, a freshman post from Lithonia, GA. Aaron Gerber, a wing player, from Foothill Ranch, CA. Osasere Collette, a wing player from Edgewater, NJ. Bruno Perlicki, a freshman post player, from Shelton, CT. Andrew Stanton, a freshman post player, from Cumming, GA and Michael Xie, a guard from Shenzhen, China.
