This is the first of three meetings between the two conference rivals. They are set to meet again on February 6th at West Georgia and February 23rd back in Oxford.

The Two Teams:

West Georgia currently holds an 11-9 series record over the Eagles.

Playing for the Region XVII Championship:

The two teams will play each other three times this year, and the winner of the series will claim the Region XVII Conference Championship and compete in the District VII Tournament. This year's district tournament will be hosted by Sandhills Community College, who was recently crowned the Region X champions.

Tipoff this Saturday is set for 5:00 PM in Williams Gym.
