Eagles Drop First Game of the Season

Oxford, GA - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team was defeated by the Bobcats of Pasco-Hernando State College 82-57. The Eagles dropped to 2-1 for the year, while the Bobcats improved to 2-1. 

The Eagles had two players in doubles figures, sophomores Nick Nist (14 points on 5-of-10 shooting) and Kabir Bergin (10 points on 3-of-6 shooting). The Eagles were held to their lowest field goal percentage so far, at 35.8% (19-of-53). 

"We did not play our best against a good team in Pasco," commented Coach Roderick Stubbs. "But this is a good experience for us and we will use it to get better."

On Monday (Nov. 8), the Eagles return to action against Columbia International University JV. Tipoff will be a 7:30 PM.
