Men's Basketball Falls to Tigers

Men's Basketball Falls to Tigers

Oxford, GA - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team faced the Tigers of Carolina Basketball Academy and lost 82-70. The Eagles dropped to 5-7 for the season.

Sophomore Nick Nist led a trio of Eagles in double figures with 22 points to go along with 13 rebounds. This is his third double-double of the year. Classmate Dante Conley-Leonardi came off the bench and scored 17 points and grabbed ten rebounds in the process to get his first double-double of the year. Freshman KJ Walker scored 10 points and dished out four assists.

Turnovers were an issue for the Eagles as they turned the ball over 27 times, which led to 27 points for the Tigers. The Eagles did not shoot well, only converting on 33.8% on field goals, including a season-low 7.1% from three.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday against nationally-ranked Sandhills Community College for a conference matchup. The game is set to begin at 3:00 PM in Williams Gym.
