Men's Basketball Dominates to Win Fourth Straight

Oxford, GA - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team wins their fourth straight game defeating the Roadrunners of Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, 70-42. With this impressive victory, the Eagles improve to 9-9, including 3-4 in league play. On the other hand, the Roadrunners drop to 11-9 and 0-6 in the conference. 

The Eagles had another strong defensive showing holding the Roadrunners to 26% (17-of-65) from the field, including 15% (5-of-34) from behind the arc. The Eagles held a 57-45 rebounding advantage and outscored the opponent 42-18 in the paint. They also caused 19 turnovers, which led to a 14-3 advantage in points of turnovers. 

Sophomores Nick Nist and Dante Conley-Leonardi were the two Eagles in double figures, with Nist scoring 14 points and Conley-Leonardi scoring 13. Nist grabbed a team-high ten rebounds to secure his fourth double-double of the year. Classmate JT Laws dished out a team-high four assists. 

Up next for the Eagles is No. 14 Sandhills Community College. They will play on Sunday, January 30, at 1:00 PM. As a reminder, fans will not be permitted to attend the game as Emory is operating under an orange condition until January 31.
