Men's Basketball Wins Second-Straight

The Emory Oxford men's basketball won their second-straight game at home against Carolina Basketball Academy. The Eagles won 78-67 and improved their record to 12-11. 

Sophomore Nick Nist led four Eagles in double figures with 23 points to go along with fifteen rebounds, claiming his fifth double-double of the year. Classmate Dante Conley-Leonardi scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Freshman Sean Osei had a good shooting night, scoring 16 points while going 3-of-5 from behind the arc. Sophomore Kabir Bergin rounded out the night with 11 points. 

The Eagles started slow but used a 13-0 run to gain a nine-point advantage over the Tigers. From there, they held the lead for the rest of the game. 

Emory Oxford shot well from the field, making 48.3% (29-of-60) while holding the Tigers to only 34.1% (39-of-75). The Eagles had a significant advantage from the free-throw line making 16-of-24, while CBA only shot 6-of-14. 

The Eagles will have one final home game on Saturday, February 12th, against Georgia Gwinnett College. Tip-off is at 3:00 PM and they will honor their sophomores during this game at halftime.
