Men's basketball defeated by New Rock Prep Academy, 89-64

Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team was defeated at home by New Rock Prep Academy by a score of 89-64.

A slow start led to the Eagles being down 48-21 at halftime. Emory Oxford had a stronger second half, scoring double its first half total with 43 points. The strong half was not enough to overcome the deficit against a strong New Rock Prep Academy. 

Sophomore Zuri Greene had another double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. He also had three assists. Sophomore Anthony Vargas scored a season-high 14 points and added four rebounds. Sophomore Josh Kim and freshman Daniel Shin both had 11 points. In addition, Shin had six rebounds and two assists.

The loss puts Emory Oxford at 0-4 this season.

The Eagles will travel to take on Southern Crescent Technical College Monday. Nov. 13. Game time is 7 p.m.
