Southern Pines, N.C. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team traveled to face Virginia Peninsula Community College at Sandhills Community College and lost by the final score of 86-75.

Virginia Peninsula had control for most of the game, leading 42-35 at halftime and having a 21-point lead toward the end of the second half. Despite not leading in the second, Emory Oxford did cut the lead to three points midway through the half.

The Eagles continued to do well from the free throw line, making 17 out of 22 attempted shots. 

Sophomore Ryan Kim led Emory Oxford with 22 points. Sophomores Josh Kim and Anthony Vargas added 17 and 15 points, respectively. Classmate Andrew Anton had six rebounds for Emory Oxford.

The Eagles take on Southern Crescent Community College Tuesday. Jan. 16 at home. Game time is 7 p.m.
