Men's basketball falls to Emmanuel University Reserve Squad 75-71

Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team dropped a close game to the visiting Emmanuel University Reserve Squad by a final score of 75-71.

Midway through the first half and down by 10 points, sophomore Ryan Kim made three free throws and a two-point field goal to bring the Eagles closer. At the end of the half, Emory Oxford was only down one, 36-35.

The Eagles found themselves in another double digit deficit midway through the second half. The team was able to fight their way back while limiting scoring from the other team. With 7:50 left in the game, sophomore Zuri Greene hit a layup to tie the game at 58. Emmanuel University was able to pull away at the end and secure the victory. 

Emory Oxford had three players who scored in the double digits. Kim finished with 25 points and five assists. Greene had another double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds. Sophomore Anthony Vargas scored 10 points.

The Eagles will next face a tough Sandhills Community College at home on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
