Men's basketball falls to Mountain Gateway Community College

The Emory Oxford men's basketball team was defeated on the road in a game against Mountain Gateway Community College by a score of 85-79.  

After some back and forth to start the game, Mountain Gateway took a lead with five minutes gone in the first and continued to build on it to take a 13-point lead into halftime. 

The Eagles were down by 17 with about 13 minutes remaining in the game, but the team was able to climb back off of two three-pointers by sophomore Josh Kim

Freshman Daniel Shin made a layup with less than a minute left to bring the score to within three, but Mountain Gateway responded with three free throws at the end of the game to bring the lead back up to five.

Sophomore Zuri Greene led the team with 21 points. Sophomores Ryan Kim and Josh Kim both added 17 points. Shin had 12 points. Sophomore Anthony Vargas led the team with 11 rebounds.

Emory Oxford will next face Georgia Christian Community College at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at home for Sophomore Day.
