Men's Golf Competes in First Tournament

Blyhewood, SC – The Emory Oxford men's golf team played in their first spring event at the Columbia International University Invitational. As a team, they earned a 7th-place finish.

The Eagles were led by sophomore Nick Paschetto who finished tied for 5th-place after a two-round total of 156 (80-76). Oxford had three others compete in the tournament and they were sophomore Stewart Zelnick and freshmen Andrew Florence, and Zeeyong Kwong

"Having Nick place in the top 5 with a great round of 76 on the second day is an exciting start to the season. Overall the team played well in tough wet conditions," said Molly McNamara, Head Coach. "While the scores overall might not have been as low as we would have liked there are a lot of positives to take away from the first tournament of the spring season. We have a month to prepare for the next event so hopefully we'll be able to make great start strides in our team score."

The Eagles will now prepare for the 19th Annual Ron Marshall Spring Fling. The tournament will be held at Goose Pond Colony Lake Course in Scottsboro, AL and is scheduled for March 30th-31st.
