Rome, GA – The Emory Oxford men's and women's golf team played in the Chick-Fil-A Invitational hosted by Berry College. The men's team had four competitors while the women only brought one golfer.

The women's tournament was played at Coosa Country Club, a par 72 course playing 5819 yards. Freshman Julia Bazata competed in the second tournament of her career. She improved by two strokes in her second round.

The men's tournament was played at Stonebridge Golf Club, a par 72 playing 6740 yards. First-year Doug Markovitz shot an opening 78 and then an 83 to lead the Eagles. Sophomore Pratisth Pandey opened with a 79 and finished with an 87 on the second day. Fellow sophomore Sahil Malhotra improved on his first-day score by five strokes, shooting an 87. Freshman Luke Koon was the other Emory Oxford Eagle competing in the tournament.

"This was a good tournament for our players to be competing in," commented Head Coach Molly McNamara. "Julia will continue to improve and will be ready for the spring season. The men all improved from their first tournament. Overall, we are headed in the right direction."

This wraps up the fall season for the Eagles. They will return to competition in the spring.
