Golf Competes In Final Tournament Before Regionals

The Oxford College of Emory University men's and women's golf teams competed this past weekend. The women played in the Dalton State Road Runner Women's Invitational, while the men played in the Shorter University Invitational. 

On the women's side, freshman Callie Goins was the lone Eagle and improved throughout the 54-hole tournament. 

On the men's side, the men have five Eagles playing, led by freshman Ryan Huang who shot a two-day total of 152 (76-76) for a top-15 finish. Sophomore Sachin Bhasin posted a 153 (79-74) to finish in the top 20. Freshman Ryan Hsieh was consistent in both rounds, shooting a 163 (82-81), while classmate Noah Sidell improved on his first-day score by 12 strokes to shoot a 174 (93-81). Fellow freshman Steven Evangelou scored 82 in his first round but had a 99 in his second. 

The Eagles will return to action on April 17th as they compete in the GCAA Regional Championship at River Forrest Golf Club in Forsyth, GA.
