The Oxford Men's Soccer Team were defeated by Georgia Military College Reserve Squad 7-1. The game was held at Oxford on Bivings Field.
Sophomore Oliver Xu was the lone goal scorer of the night for the Eagles.
In the first half, sophomore Erich Mildner had the opportunity to score but Georgia Military came up with a great save. The Bulldogs were able to capitalize on this and turned it into a goal on the other end. The Eagles had multiple chances to tie the game before the half was over but were unable to find the back of the net.
In the second half, things did not get better for the Eagles. The Bulldogs were able to score in the 52nd minute to put them up 2-0. Three minutes later, Xu netted the only goal of the night for the Eagles. After that, the Bulldogs went on the attack and scored 5 unanswered goals.
The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, October 20th against All-in-FC. This will be the Eagle's Sophomore Night and kickoff will be at 6:45 PM.
