Men's soccer ties Andrew College 2-2

A very physical game between the Emory Oxford and Andrew College men's soccer teams ended in a 2-2 tie at Bivings Field.

The Fighting Tigers (1-10-1 overall, 0-1-1 conference) scored first midway into the first half. The Eagles (3-4-1 overall, 1-1-1 conference) continued to apply pressure, trying to find the equalizer.

Early into the second half, freshman Brody Weinfurtner was able to tie up the game for Emory Oxford on an assist from freshman Evan Crozier.

The Eagles took the lead ten minutes later on a penalty kick by sophomore Minghan Cui. That lead didn't last long as Andrew College tied the game a minute later.

Both teams played hard for the remainder of the game to try to break the tie, but neither team found the back of the net.

Freshman Chris Do made three saves in goal for the Eagles.

Emory Oxford will travel for its next game to play Spartanburg Methodist at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1.
