Men's soccer team members named to GCAA All-Region team

Four members of the Emory Oxford men's soccer team were named to the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association All-Region team.

Defensemen Gerard Kong and Ian Klenk were both named to the team. Kong, a freshman, led the team with six goals, 12 points and 14 shots on goal. He also had the most game-winning goals with three. One of those game-winning goals was a penalty kick against Georgia Military College, which led to the Eagles defeating the tough Bulldogs for the first time in school history.

Klenk, a sophomore, started all 15 games for Emory Oxford. He finished the season with two goals and two assists for six points. Freshman midfielder Evan Crozier was also named to the team. During the season, he played in 13 games for the Eagles and had two assists for two points.

Freshman goaltender Chris Do started all but one game for the Eagles. During the season, he had two shutouts and made 85 saves, which placed him in the top 15 in NJCAA Division II men's soccer in saves made.

In addition, head coach Gregory Moss-Brown was named Coach of the Year. Some of the successes for this year's team and coaching staff included playing in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association championship game and a regular season victory over GMC.
