Men's Tennis Wins Third-Straight

Using strong play in singles, the Emory Oxford men's tennis team defeated the Lions of Piedmont University 7-2. This is the Eagle's third straight victory and improves their win-loss record to 3-3. 

The Eagles picked up only one win in doubles and that came on court three, where freshmen Alex Szymanski and Ryan Talano defeated their opponents 8-2. 

In singles play, the Eagles had a clean sweep winning all six matches, five of which came in straight sets. Freshman Jahaan Sachdeva won on court four, 6-2, 6-3. Szymanski claimed his second win of the day on court five, defeating his counterpart 6-1, 6-3. Lone sophomore Frank Lu picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win on court three. Freshman Zachary Ravel, who was competing on court one, claimed a 6-4, 6-3 victory, while Talano won on court six with a score of 6-0, 6-2. Freshman Tyler Yamato-Chang picked up a hard-fought win on court two, winning 6-7, 7-5 (1-0). 

The Eagles will play Piedmont again on Friday, March 18th, in Demorest, GA. Matches will begin at 3:00 PM.
