Men's Tennis Up Their Win Streak With 9-0 Win

The Emory Oxford men's tennis team continues their winning streak with another impressive victory over Gadsden State Community College. With the 9-0 victory, the Eagles improved to 5-3 for the season and have now won their last five matches. 

The Eagles had a strong showing in doubles play, only giving up three games total. Freshmen Stephen Orr and Ryan Talano won the Eagles' first point with an 8-0 victory on court three. Classmates Zachary Ravel and Jahaan Sachdeva also won 8-0 on court two. On court one, sophomore Frank Lu and freshman Tyler Yamato-Chang won a hard-fought match 8-3. 

The Eagles continued their strong play in singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Ravel (court one), Sachdeva (court four) and Talano (court five) each won their match 6-0, 6-0. On courts three and six, Lu and Orr defeated their opponents 6-1, 6-1. To round out the day for the Emory Oxford, Yamato-Chang earned a 6-1, 6-4 win on court two. 

Up next, the Eagles will face off against Coastal Alabama Community College on Thursday, April 14th. This will be their final regular-season home match. Matches are set to begin at 3:00 PM.
