Men's Tennis Defeats Panthers in Final Regular Season Match

LaGrange, GA - The Emory Oxford men's tennis closed out the regular season with a 7-2 victory over the Panthers of LaGrange College. The Eagles end the season on a 7-game winning streak and finish 7-3. 

Emory Oxford found themselves up 2-1 after the double sessions with wins on courts one and three. First-year students Mark Li and Stephen Orr clinched the opening point for the Eagles with an impressive 8-1 victory at the No. 3 position. Sophomore Frank Lu and freshman Tyler Yamato-Chang won the team's second point with an 8-4 win at the top spot. 

The Eagles went on to win five out of the six singles matches, with four of them coming in straight sets. Yamato-Chang opened things up with a 6-1, 6-1 victory on court two, while classmate Ryan Talano won 6-3, 6-0 on court six. Lu, who was competing in his final regular-season match, clinched the winning point with a 6-2, 6-1 win at the third spot. On court one, freshman Zachary Ravel defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-2. Fellow freshman Jahaan Sachdeva battled back to win 0-6, 6-3 (10-5) at the fifth spot.
