Milledgeville, GA - The Emory Oxford men's and women's cross country team competed in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College. The race was held at Council Farm Course, which will also host this year's GCAA Conference Championships and NJCAA Division III Championships. Neither team scored due to not having enough runners compete/finish the race.
In the men's 8k race, the Eagles had four first-year runners finish and were led by Aaron Li, who ran a time of 28:31.7. Darren Ni ran a 29:11.7, while Alex Lucas completed the race in 30:37.2. The final runner of Emory Oxford was Andrew Johnson, who finished with a time of 31:14.0.
On the women's side, the Eagles had three runners complete the 5k race. Freshman Alex Bryant led the way with a time of 20:32.4. Classmates Emily Wilhelm and Sophia Lee were the other two to finish with times of 20:53.0 and 21.07.8.
The Eagles will have one more race before competing in the GCAA Conference Championships. They will run at the Berry Invitational in Rome, GA, on October 16th.
