Oxford Cross Country teams compete in Alexander/Asics Invitational

The Oxford College of Emory University men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Fairburn, Georgia to compete in the Alexander/Asics Invitational over the weekend. The event featured mixed competition, including Division I and Division II runners.

The women's team finished 4th in the 5k event, placing ahead of several DII schools. 

Freshman Halle Wulff ran a 20:18 to pace the Eagles, and fellow freshman Nancy Puente wasn't far behind at 20:27. Sophomores Joyce Zhang and Sophia Lee finished at 20:30 and 20:39, respectively. 

Sophomore Emily Wilhelm (20:59), freshman Madeleine Lepley (22:22), and sophomore Urvi Vallpareddy (22:37) rounded out the Eagle contributors.

In the men's 8k event, sophomore Alex Lucas led the Eagles, running a 29:19. Freshman Jacob Hillman ran a 29:31, freshman Timothy Park ran a 30:09, sophomore Darren Ni ran a 32:40, and sophomore Tommy Pan ran a 36:40.

Sophomore Yonah Temlock (36:48) and sophomore Reed Karman (38:56) also ran for Emory Oxford.

Both teams will compete at the Willie Laster Invitationals next Saturday.
