Women's Golf Finishes Second at Bob Jones Tournament

Pickens, SC -  The Emory Oxford women's golf team started their spring season as the Bob Jones University Spring Advance Tournament held at Rock Golf Club in South Carolina. As a team, the Eagles brought home a runner-up finish.

Sophomore Bridget Barnsley led the way for the Eagles earning her a place on the All-Tournament team for the second year in a row. Rounding out the team scoring for the Eagles were sophomores Katie Dorton, Natalie Mason, and freshman Madalyn Tolbert

"I'm very proud of the way team played through tough scoring conditions. The course was longer than we traditionally play and with the wet conditions it made for higher scores from everyone at the event, but they stuck with it and were able to bring home a runner-up finish," commented Head Coach Molly McNamara. "The weather this spring has not made it easy to prepare for the early tournament, but I am excited about the positive things that I saw from the women and if they continue to work, they will see the results at our next tournament."

The Eagles will return to action on March 23rd-24th at the WSCC Women's Golf Invitationial. The tournament will be held at Cross Creek Golf Course in Cullman, Alabama.
